Research Projects
Birth and Beyond (BABY) StudyThis study seeks to better understand factors that affect child and family health and well-being in Black families from pregnancy through the adult years. We are especially interested in elucidating the social and environmental determinants of racial disparities in Black maternal-infant health, and the individual, family, cultural, and community resiliency factors that counteract their effects. Ultimately, we hope this information will help identify mechanisms through which to promote health equity in Black families.
